چکیده

A binary component catalyst consists of single atoms (SAs– Pt and Au) anchored on self-doped TiO2 nanotubes (TNTs), was developed for photocatalytic CO2 reduction. The defects introduced TNTs substrate stabilized with atomic Au via strong metal support interactions (MSI), due to which, the covalent facilitated an effective transfer photo-generated electrons from defective sites SAs, in turn enhanced separation electron–hole pairs charge-carrier transmission. Pt–Au/R-TNTs 0.33 wt% SA metals, exhibited a maximum 149 times higher performance than unmodified R-TNT total apparent quantum yield (AQY) 17.9%, which CH4 C2H6 reached 360.0 28.8 ?mol g?1 h?1, respectively. metals loading shifted oxidation path H2O •OH generation into O2 evolution, that inhibited self-oxidization photocatalyst.

Thiourea-Modified TiO2 Nanorods with Enhanced Photocatalytic Activity.

Semiconductor TiO2 photocatalysis has attracted much attention due to its potential application in solving the problems of environmental pollution. In this paper, thiourea (CH4N2S) modified anatase TiO2 nanorods were fabricated by calcination of the mixture of TiO2 nanorods and thiourea at 600 °C for 2 h. It was found that only N element was doped into the lattice of TiO2 nanorods. With increas...

Photocatalytic CO2 conversion over alkali modified TiO2 without loading noble metal cocatalyst.

Surface modification of TiO2 with NaOH promoted the chemisorption, activation and photocatalytic CO2 reduction. An optimized loading amount of NaOH kept a good balance between CO2 chemisorption quantity and BET surface area of TiO2. This noble metal free method provides a simple pathway for effective multiple H(+)/e(-) CO2 photoreduction.

Enhanced Photocatalytic Reduction of CO2 to CO through TiO2 Passivation of InP in Ionic Liquids.

A robust and reliable method for improving the photocatalytic performance of InP, which is one of the best known materials for solar photoconversion (i.e., solar cells). In this article, we report substantial improvements (up to 18×) in the photocatalytic yields for CO2 reduction to CO through the surface passivation of InP with TiO2 deposited by atomic layer deposition (ALD). Here, the main me...

Nanosized anatase TiO2 single crystals for enhanced photocatalytic activity.

Nanosized anatase TiO(2) single crystals with 18% {001} facets have a raised conduction band minimum by 0.1 eV, and exhibit photocatalytic activity both for generating *OH radicals and for splitting water into hydrogen that is markedly superior--by factors of 5.6 and 8.2, respectively--to reference ca. 3 microm anatase TiO(2) with 72% {001} facets.

Enhanced photocatalytic activity of mesoporous TiO2 aggregates by embedding carbon nanotubes as electron-transfer channel.

Mesoporous multiwalled carbon nanotubes/titanium dioxide (CNTs/TiO(2)) nanocomposites with low loading amounts (0-0.5 wt%) of CNTs embedded inside mesoporous TiO(2) aggregates has been prepared by a simple one-pot hydrothermal method using titanium sulfate as titanium source. The as-prepared CNTs/TiO(2) samples are carefully characterized, analyzed and discussed. In contrast to previous reports...
